Italy is often seen as the home of innovative, iconic design, and the Vespa scooter certainly falls within these categories. Maurizio Lamponi Leopardi has taken the very best elements of these scooters and recycled them into lamps, maintaining the iconic design of the original materials. The final result is a lamp with great character and style, ideal for any bike/scooter enthusiast. However I'm torn on these designs, I'd love to have one myself and can only hope that the parts were taken from a Vespa no longer fit for purpose as I would hate to see one of these rare classics recycled unneccessarily.
