I'd love to have found a video of this walking table in action, alas we'll have to settle for images instead. The Walking Table is the work of designer Wouter Scheublin and on initial inspection it might not look the most elegant piece of table design, however to make a table of this size actually 'walk' is a huge achievement in itself. Made in 8 separate pieces from hand picked Walnut, this piece illustrates a real skill for mechanics and craftsmanship.

There certainly something beautiful about seeing the raw components come together.
