About Us
Karolo is a dedicated furniture community, enabling its users to buy and sell furniture, share news & design inspiration, and connect with furniture enthusiasts the world over. At Karolo we’re committed to creating a thriving community of furniture enthusiasts. By combining the benefits of social networking and online auctions, we aim to help users promote not only their furniture but their business, skills and expertise. Running through the foundation of Karolo are two key principles: 1. Promote people not just productsCommunication and individuality is essential to the success of any community. In addition to our furniture marketplace we have given users the ability to create their own profile, share blogs and grow their network. Our community newsfeed offers an interactive platform where designers, craftsmen and shops can share their latest news and products, discuss ideas and connect with their customers. We want people to be inspired by the designs featured on Karolo, to be able to communicate and give feedback to the designer and for users to be able to share what they ‘love’ with their network. 2. Raise awareness and promote furniture reuse"10 million items of furniture are thrown away in the UK every year. 3 million of these items could be easily re-used; more could be repaired.". www.frn.org.uk Whilst promoting the very best in furniture design we are also mindful of the need to raise awareness of furniture reuse. By promoting innovative reuse projects and giving users the option to sell for free, we aim to provide a cost effective alternative to throwing away furniture in the hope to see perfectly reusable items diverted away from landfill. |

We're in BetaKarolo has grand plans for growth but just for now we're still in Beta (that means we're new). We're still constantly developing, adjusting & implementing new ideas, and even though we do our upmost to check every possible scenario - you might be good enough to think of something we haven’t. If you spot a bug, Chris our resident geek would love to fix it so please contact us. |
